Not Just Slides Anymore

OK, so here’s the deal: Indezine has always been like your favorite PowerPoint pit stop — the one with all the hacks, help, and how-to’s for killer presentations. Think of it as the “presentation garage” where your slides get tuned up and turbocharged.

But here’s a confession: we’ve secretly wanted to open a second garage — one that’s all about the media that fuels those slides. We’re talking pictures that pop, videos that vibe, icons that explain without a word, illustrations that dazzle, and sounds that make your slides sing.

Why? Because great presentations aren’t just about bullet points — they’re about what your audience sees and hears. Imagine a movie without music or a pizza without toppings — sure, it’s technically still there, but… meh.

Two Boats, One Captain?

Now, let’s be honest — we love PowerPoint. Indezine has been all about helping you wrangle slides like a pro, and we’re not changing that. But when it comes to diving into pictures, videos, sounds, and other juicy media stuff… well, that’s a whole new ocean.

Could we just toss all that into our PowerPoint pages? Technically, yes. But it would be like cramming your toolbox into your spice rack — super confusing for folks who just came for the PowerPoint pie.

Plus, trying to steer two ships at once? That’s a recipe for a splashy disaster. Even the best sailor can’t pilot two boats in opposite directions — unless they’re part octopus (and we’re sadly not).

So instead, we’re building a brand-new boat — one fully rigged for media adventures. That way, PowerPoint fans stay happy on Indezine, and media explorers get their own playground too.

Say Hello to Mediamazine

So, here’s what happened: we wanted to talk about more than just PowerPoint — like cool videos, snazzy icons, catchy music, and all the media magic that makes presentations pop. But cramming that into Indezine would be like trying to fit a marching band into a phone booth.

The lightbulb moment? Start a brand-new corner of the site — and make it a blog! Why a blog? Because blogs are like open mics for the internet. You can comment, share ideas, even politely disagree (yes, we see you, opinionated sound designers.

And just like that, Mediamazine was born — Indezine’s curious cousin who’s obsessed with all things media. It’s our sandbox for exploring every shiny new tech toy and trend, from AR animations to retro sound bites. Basically, if it makes media better, it belongs here.

So, do bookmark this page, and send us your feedback about what you want to see here. Have an absolutely great day!
